Seal is pulling away from TV frame after a year

just recently this foam seal is pulling away from the tv around the edge. it blocks the view off the edge of the tv. samsung said it isn't covered by the manufacture warranty, so i would have to spend the money out of pocket to service it instead. this is really disappointing since i have only owned samsung tvs over the past 15yrs and have never had issues. it may be time to move on though.

I am very happy with this tv natural colors and a good combination of black and blue colors, the screen does not have much brightness like other models but it has a powerful processor which makes your HD TV channels look much better. Very good for the price.

Happy with the slim beauty

I was looking for a TV which would be affordable and at least a 4K HD. I went to Costco and was almost buying another brand. But suddenly the Samsung 55 inch 4K HD RU7100 draw my attention which was on sale ie. 589.99 CAD. I decided to take a chance with this beast. After tax and everything I paid approx 675 CAD which was not a bad deal! I brought it to my home and I realized that I did the right choice and made the perfect decision for buying a HD TV. The picture and sound quality are awesome. Its operating system is handy. Last but not the least, its slim and obviously not heavy weighted. I am pretty much happy with my Samsung beauty.

The TV portion of this product functions however, the Samd=sung account factor is a menacing factor. When the input signal becomes weak, the remote becomes inoperative & you cannot change channels or volume. Another 'Samsung Account' issue is, after reflecting correct time for several months, the "Guide" & "Info" results reflect the incorrect time... Guide & Info periodically reflect 1 hour behind schedule.

Excellent Product with Great Picture & Sound

Purchased a few days ago and set up was a breeze plus it was fun doing it. Product has great features and wonderful picture and sound. The picture I did one adjustment for preference and the sound I did the same. Everything about it is awesome plus the remote is large enough with nice buttons and love the functions feature. My previous Samsung purchase was last year in June 2019 a 43" and loved that one and now this current purchase a 55" same model. Same remote and all and same features on both products. I had a Vizio 55" last month and hated it from day one, Picture was weak in contrast and the sound was very tinny sounding. Just bad to me all around. Plus the remote was so small and had very small buttons and couldn't read them. No more VIZIO!!!! So that's why I purchased another Samsung TV. Just hope they live up to the factory warranty. Thanks Samsung!!!!

Night time or Dark Movies are too Dark.

Bought this about a week ago to replace a 10 year old Samsung 45in The old Samsung picture was perfect, even during dark scenes Nothing was wrong with the old Samsung TV, for I just wanted new technology No matter what I tried during dark scenes, the picture is almost totally black Been on the phone with support way to much, with no favorable results.. I have read several other reviews about this issue, with no favorable results.. Samsung should release a fix to correct this problem or supply detailed instuctions on how to correct without sacrificing picture quality

Intrusive ads, poor picture

TV bombards you with intrusive ads 24/7 and it is impossible to disable them. While the TV has some smart apps (many of which are pre-installed and cannot be removed), key ones are missing, like Fox (and others). For the picture, if you are straight in front, the color is saturated, move 6 inches left or right and it dramatically loses saturation. Totally regret buying.

Excellent value but needs anti-tipping hardware

Great tv for the money and has a wide viewing angle. My only complaints are these new stands require anti-tipping hardware to bolt to the wall or fasten to the table. Should have stated this in the product info online before we buy. In my case I have to hire someone to drill through brick even thought I'm not mounting the tv and will have cables showing from the side view behind tv. Also, not a fan of the remote. very difficult and not user friendly. I'm constantly doing everything with the smallest buttons on the very small lower portion of the remote and it's too easy to hit other buttons. Had it a month and still don't understand simple functions it's just that difficult. So expect to buy another remote and anti tipping cables/hardware for about in addition to this set.

I have only had this tv for 3 days and so far have had nothing but problems. It reboots randomly, just shutting off and starting up again Audio will cut out, sometimes will come back in about 10 seconds, other times wont start the audio again until rebooted. Apps dont work. Hulu and netflix will both freeze before even getting to the login screen followed by a reboot. YouTube will lock up the whole tv after 20-30 minutes, sometimes requiring it to be unplugged to reset it. Remote will periodically not work at all. Other times will freeze up when going through menus and reboot the tv. Called Samsung after experiencing these issues and they told me to restore it to factory settings. You mean the current settings? Because it wasnt out of the box for 24 hours at that point. I did it anyway to humor them. Didnt get through the setup before it randomly shut off and rebooted. Did that 3 times before I could even use it! Was told I would hear from a tech, but haven't yet. As of now I have a tv that is essentially unusable right out of the box. Is it a dud? I dont know. We'll see if they follow through. As of now I am very upset about this tv. I dont have unrealistic expectations.i know it is a entry level model, i just want the standard features to work. I got this from a rewards program at work, so I cant just return it either..

Bought this 2 weeks ago replacing my old series 5 HD tv and I am amazed by the quality and detailing. The 4k upscaling is mind blowing, worth every penny. The only area of improvement is its remote, so many buttons in such compact size. A motion sensor remote would be great for daily use. Reducing wear and tear of remote over time.

Just got this on the weekend from Costco , it replaces a old Samsung and wow ! it is awesome picture is great love the new features , also Netflix apps streams way better then through the cable box we elected to hookup WiFi no issues at all . Integrated with our cable box fine .The only thing we could not get my Bose speaker Volume to work via optical hookup connection . Waiting for the day we can eliminate the cable box all together , just waiting for my provider to get an app. Good Job Samsung!

Nice upgrade from my old TV

My only problem is that one of the receptors (not sure if this is the correct word) for the mounting screws is missing. I am able to attach three of the four screws holding the legs on.

Everything is great with this TV set, I just wish the software is more flexible to customize and able to install apps from different regions, and the network manager to save passwords.

I love Samsung so I'm kinda bias to there products, this TV is great because it connect to my note 9 easy and the picture is very clear. It's all for a reasonable price you cant not beat that.

My favorite tv in the house and we have 7. My husband not being technology savvy is able to work the tv and remote no problems. The picture quality is wonderful, the apps are easy to set up and use, the price was great.

The picture on this model is super sharp and the image movement is flawless. It connects easily to WiFi and streams seamlessly on various streaming platforms (Prime, Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube). I would recommend this TV to anyone, it's well worth the money.
